Von Miller – Texas A&M

Here’s another one you might remember since Von Miller was a high-profile player in college. After the 2009 season, Georgia was 8-5 and they settled for an Independence Bowl match-up against the 6-6 Texas A&M Aggies.

The Aggies that year were known for their defense which Miller led with a NCAA leading 17 sacks and was fourth with 21 tackles for a loss in 2009.

However, Miller and the Aggies defense did not have their best game against the Bulldogs. Georgia won the game 44-20. Quarterback Joe Cox had 158 passing yards with a pair of touchdowns and Georgia’s running backs combined for 201 yards.

Miller returned for his senior season at Texas A&M but a high ankle sprain hampered his stats. But he still won the Butkus Award and All-American honors for the second straight year.

After college, Miller has become a 5-time Pro Bowler and earned the honor of MVP for Super Bowl 50. He’s started all 55 games he has appeared in. To this date, Miller has 338 tackles, 73.5 sacks, 19 forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns.
