While there hasn’t been anywhere near the push there was last year to make G-day a success, Kirby Smart has come out recently to try and encourage more fans to show up. He’re repeatedly stated how big that game was to the team in terms of recruiting. Several members of the 2017 signing class said that the feeling there was what pushed them over the edge. Can Dawgnation come out again and help the team again this year?

While there has not been a huge central push to get people there, more is being said this week. Smart has jabbed UGA fans about how little his friend Will Muschamp thinks of them for example. He’s put out a few statements that have tried to encourage people to show up, but he’d trying to do it in a more relaxed way this year. Rather than having the central push for 93k, imagine how great it would be if UGA can get close to that with little effort?

We’ve been talking about it a lot, but going to G-day remains one of the best ways a UGA fan can actually get out there and help their team. This coaching staff will always get the top prospects into Athens for the game. Fans can do their part by showing those players exactly why they should play at UGA.
