2. Thomas Brown
Yeah this has been a very running back heavy list. But most devastating injuries happen to running backs. It just comes with the work load.

But Thomas Brown is another tailback for Georgia that had a career marred by injuries. He’s also probably the best running back in Georgia’s modern era to never rush for 1,000 yards in any season. And that’s partly because of injuries.
As a freshman in 2004, Brown rushed for 875 yards with eight touchdowns. Plus he earned Freshman All-SEC honors. But he missed the South Carolina game and could only carry the ball three times against Tennessee.
Kregg Lumpkin returned in 2005 so naturally Brown’s numbers went down as he was now part of a trio (when you add Danny Ware). Brown did miss the Louisiana Monroe game that year and he settled for 736 yards.
The injuries really began to affect him in 2006. He had a rough seven games before tearing his ACL against Vanderbilt. Brown only rushed for 256 yards that year.
But he returned in 2007 and looked better than ever despite splitting time with Knowshon Moreno. he even had a career high, 180 yards against Ole Miss. But he broke his collarbone against Tennessee (I mean, who else is a Georgia running back going to get injured against?).
Prior to that, Brown had 413 yards with six touchdowns. He missed Georgia’s games against Vanderbilt, Florida and Troy but he returned to play Auburn and rushed for 81 yards that day. Brown rushed for 366 yards in his final four games as a Bulldog. He ended his senior season with 779 yards and 10 touchdowns.
In his career, Brown had 2,646 rushing yards with 23 touchdowns.
