Georgia Football: G-Day Open Thread!

Hi Dawg fans! The Georgia Football Spring game is finally here and Dawn of the Dawg will be keeping you updated with everything that happens!

With so much happening today at what will likely be an excited Athens, we’re going to do our best to keep you updated with whats going on at the Georgia Football G-Day. We’re expecting big crowds to be in attendance so hopefully its going to be an awesome day!

Updated: 12.26pm

12.21pm: Several players have not made the depth chart and will likely not play because of injury. Roquan Smith and Trenton Thompson have been out all spring so will not compete. Riley Ridley, Jeb Blazevich and Ben Cleveland also look to be out for the game on the offensive side.

12.14pm: Personal feelings regarding the Adam Anderson de-commitment. Its disappointing, especially to have it done on G-Day. LSU likely wanted to grab headlines and they’ve used this to try and take the wind out of what should be a big day for the dawgs. Personally, I think it’s pretty distasteful overall and while LSU fans might be rejoicing at their team one upping a rival on their big day, it’s not a good look for either school.

12.11pm Alumni game is going on at the moment. Dawg Walk coming up in a couple of hours.

11.21am: Wow bad news for Dawg nation which rarely happens on G-Day. UGA has actually lost a commitment for its 2018 class. OLB Adam Anderson has flipped to LSU after they offered two of his high school teammates. This takes UGA’s 2018 class down to just 1 commitment at the moment

10.20am: Looking for something to listen to on the way to the game? The Glory UGA guys have one of the best podcast for Dawg fans out there and they have a lights out preview of some people you should be looking out for this afternoon:


10.05am: Top ranted OG in the country Jamaree Salyer is joining White in Athens today. The two of them are likely the two biggest targets for Kirby Smart in 2018.

9.30am: Get ready Dawg fans:

9.05am: Zamir White is going to be in Athens today! The nations top ranked RB for 2018 is a huge target for UGA so if you see him, make sure you let him know why dawgnation is the place to be!
