10. Mecole Hardman

The Bulldog Nation yearned to see the Elberton native play last season but he was seldom used in 2016. But a switch to receiver for the spring of 2017 breathed new life in the hype machine behind Hardman.

Saturday was the fans first chance to see him play receiver and he did not disappoint. Hardman caught three passes for 62 yards. One catch was an athletic grab caught high and behind him. It was really impressive and showed off the athleticism that we saw in his high school highlight films.

But maybe his longest catch was his most impressive. He had a 38-yard reception late in the game with defenders around him. The composure to make a grab with defenders behind, in front and to his left and then to use his speed to gain some more yards was a sight to see. And it definetely proved that he belonged at receiver.

if you weren’t excited about Mecole Hardman before, you are now.
