6. Javon Wims

The senior who transferred into the program last year spent 2016 getting acclimated to SEC football with a true freshman quarterback. Wims caught 17 passes last year for 190 yards with one score.

Saturday was Wims first time in front of a Sanford Stadium crowd as the senior leader of the receiving corps and he proved himself in a big way. Wims caught four passes for 96 yards.

His biggest catch was the one mentioned earlier; a 47-yard catch from Eason where he had to make the grab with the defender right on him. That’s a big time play that will win us ball games and improve his stock for the 2018 NFL Draft.

Georgia fans should expect a big year with big numbers from Javon Wims.
