More from Dawn of the Dawg

As the backup challenging Jacob Eason and the man the team will turn to in the case of an injury, all eyes were on Jake Fromm. With 277 yards and two touchdowns, he has fans buzzing about his potential.

While I still stick by what I said yesterday, I’m not going to take anything away from the kids talent, his chemistry with receivers or skills as a thrower.

I would have liked to have seen more than just outside passes from Fromm. But with what we did see, he looked like a player who will be ready when his number is called. Whether that’s this year or not, we’ll have to wait and see.

It was impressive to see him lead a game winning drive. Jacob Eason and Charlie Woerner left a little too much time on the clock and Fromm showed that he has the instincts to be successful in the SEC.
