This one is pretty much just about one player. Natrez Patrick. Patrick looked really good in the scrimmage. Not only playing his part in the stuffing of the run, but also blitzing really well when he had the chance. Reggie Carter played well alongside him and confirmed that he had the potential to be a decent backup this season.

Ultimately, this position could well be the strongest part of the Dawgs defence this season. Patrick will play alongside Roquan Smith who sat out Saturday as he recovers from an injury. Patrick’s physical play this weekend should play really well alongside Smith’s quickness and agility this year.

Overall, this is a position group I’m really excited about for 2017. They did nothing to change that on Saturday.
