Not in a particularly good place to be honest. After this weekend saw Adam Anderson flip to LSU, UGA has only 2 players committed for 2018. Neither of them are 4-star players. Donovan Georges is an inside linebacker from Florida and he probably should be, but he’s not. The only other player they have is newly committed kicker/punter Jake Camarda.

That’s it. That’s all the players they have right now, and its good for only the 68th best class in the country. At the same time, Mark Richt is currently sitting in the #1 spot with 18 recruits in Miami, a tough sight for UGA fans.

Ok so that’s the bad news, but time for some perspective. Alabama, yes THAT Alabama currently only have 3 players committed. One of them is Dameon Pierce, a Georgia running back who has reopened his recruiting this week. LSU are crowing this week after flipping Anderson and signing 3 players, but half of their current #2 ranked class are only 3 star players. Come signing day, those 8 players will pull this class down and they won’t be laughing as hard.

UGA has started slow, but recruiting doesn’t end in April, it pretty much only gets started.
