Why it’s not time to panic

In short, the 2018 class is going to look very different for UGA. It’s going to be built up of players from outside the state of Georgia. Kirby Smart is also pushing hard on a lot of prospects who will likely decide later down the line.

2018 is also kind of a down year in terms of talent in the state of Georgia. Yes there are three really good QB’s all committed elsewhere, but were any of them really going to sit behind 2 5 star players already on campus? The rest of the class is good and I’m not saying UGA didn’t want these player. However, it’d certainly not as deep or as talented as 2018 and nowhere close to the 2019 class.

Look UGA is going to sign a good class this year. It’s just too big  of a program not too and Kirby is too damn focused on recruiting not to get some big players in. Theres still a great chance that it signs two of the top 7 players in the country. Zamir White and Jamaree Salyer are very much in play for UGA and both are game changers. Top defensive end Micah Parsons just decommitted from Penn State and has UGA in his top 4, there’s a real chance he could join the dawgs as well.

It’s been a rough 6 weeks for the 2018 class, but it’s still early. While this class might not top last years, there’s still every chance it’s going to be awesome.
