Georgia Football: Should fans worry about 2018 recruiting?
Good programs are built on overcoming adversity
While a lot of people are currently tearing their hair out over the 2018 class, I actually feel pretty good about it. I kind of look at all of these players leaving state and think that there’s a real opportunity for the dawgs going forward.
Look, rebuilding a program and changing a culture isn’t easy, It takes time and a lot of hard work. I’m a big believer that adversity makes people and teams stronger. I think this whole experience will make UGA come out better on the other side.
The main reason I believe this is because I think it can fuel this team going forward. We hear all the time about how athletes love to prove their critics wrong right? Well is there any bigger critic than a kid you know who didn’t want to play with you because winning at home was ‘too hard’?
If I was a UGA player, there is nothing I would want more then the chance to show those same players what they missed. To go up against them in the biggest games and show them exactly why the harder route can be the better one and how winning for your home can mean so much more.

I don’t begrudge these players making the decisions they did. They all did what they believe was right and best for them and that’s totally fine. But UGA players and coaches are also allowed to do the same and I see nothing wrong is using these decisions as motivation going forward.
