What can UGA do to turn the table?

Well firstly, it can start winning. Going into his second season, 2017 is a big year for Kirby. Recruits want to see what he and his coaches can do on the field. 2016 was tough and UGA experienced some unexpected and disappointing losses, but there’s no reason they can’t turn things around this year.

A 10-2 season and an SEC East title would show the college football world that UGA is rising. That helps the ‘stay in state’ message because it combines it with a ‘win in state’ one. Maybe players like Cox still leave, but winning can change a lot of peoples minds.

The coaches also just need to keep doing what they’ve been doing. People might see these players going elsewhere and think the coaches have been sleeping. They haven’t and a lot of them are focused on top level talent from outside of Georgia. UGA showed last year, they can bring in top players from elsewhere when the signed Isaiah Wilson. Don’t be shocked to see several really high profile prospects from elsewhere join the dawgs when all is said and done.
