Georgia football: Predicting the opening day depth chart after the G-Day Game

Quarterbacks and Runningbacks

There shouldn’t be any surprises here. I fully expect Jacob Eason to retain his starting job. He has the experience and the chemistry with receivers to go along with the talent. Jake Fromm however, will be second on the depth chart but the coaches will probably try to preserve his eligibility by keeping him off the field.

Nick Chubb and Sony Michel will continue to be 1A and 1B at Georgia. If there’s any year where the Bulldogs could get two 1,000-yard rushers, this is it. Behind them is a competitive race for playing time between Brian Herrien and Elijah Holyfield. D’Andre Swift will also challenge when he arrives.

3rd String: Sam Vaughn

Starter: Nick Chubb

2nd String: Sony Michel

3rd String: Brian Herrien

4th String: Elijah Holyfield
