Ok so heres the tough question. How can UGA win this battle? They’re going up against the two biggest programs in college football and a rising in state college. That being said, all is not lost, there are several ways that UGA can win this particular recruitment.

The first of which is that they have Kirby and he knows defense. There aren’t many people in college football who has put the number of defensive linemen in the league as Smart has and that always gives them a good shot. If UGA’s defense can be dominant this year, there’s a great chance that several others will leave and give Parsons a straight shot at a starting spot as well, something thats always enticing for a prospect.

But ultimately, the most important thing UGA can do to win this battle is pretty simple. Win. 2017 is a crucial year for the dawgs and if Kirby Smart can bring in an SEC East title and seriously push Bama for the SEC, they will clearly show a prospect like Parsons that they are a program on the rise.

It’s highly likely that Parsons will take his time to decide where he’s going to go after decommitting so recently. If Smart and the dawgs can put together a strong 2017 season, they have a legitimate reason for him to join. Winning begets more winning and it’s time for UGA to start doing more of that in 2017.
