As expected, Isaiah McKenzie was the only Georgia Bulldog drafted in the 2017 class. He was selected in the 5th round by the Denver Broncos with the 172nd overall pick. McKenzie should fit in really well in that organisation. It’s a place that is still trying to find its quarter back, but one that has traditionally made the most of small quick receivers.

Wes Welker and Emanuel Sanders have both thrived since John Elway took over although that was with Payton Manning under center. McKenzie brings something all teams covet, speed. He will have a chance there to compete for the slot position and in the return game.

With so little senior talent in this UGA class, it’s hardly surprising Georgia only had 1 player taken. McKenzie was the only Junior who declared so his sole presence was expected. Many commentators are making fun of UGA because Western Georgia had 2 players drafted when UGA only had 1. Whether those same commentators are still laughing next year is another matter.
