Six players drafted, one in the first round

This draft couldn’t be topped. Four of the six Bulldogs drafted that year have put together very consistent careers. Two of those players are building resume’s that will put them in the Hall of Fame one day and another is one of the better offensive linemen in the NFL.

The players drafted in this group include:

A.J. Green-Cincinnati Bengals

Justin Houston-Kansas City Chiefs

Akeem Dent-Atlanta Falcons

Clint Boling-Cincinnati Bengals

Kris Durham-Seattle Seahawks

Shaun Chapas-Dallas Cowboys

NFL Careers

An argument can be made that green is the best receiver in the NFL right now. He’s certainly one of the top three in the league and he alone warrants this classes spot on this list. In just six seasons, Green has 481 catches for 7,135 yards and 49 touchdowns.

For as great as Green has been on offense, Houston has been almost as prolific on defense. In six seasons, Houston has 60 sacks and nine forced fumbles. Just imagine his stats if he hadn’t missed 16 games with injuries from 2015-to-2016.

Then there’s Dent who’s been a solid backup and at times a decent starter for the Falcons and Texans. And Boling became a starter in his second year in Cincinnati and he hasn’t relinquished that spot.
