Five players drafted

Not one first or second rounder in this group and it still manages to be one of the best draft classes in Georgia football history. This class is great mainly because of the great careers that Geno Atkins (fourth round) and Reshad Jones (fifth round) have put together

The players drafted in this group include:

Rennie Curran-Tennessee Titans

Geno Atkins-Cincinnati Bengals

Reshad Jones-Miami Dolphins

Jeff Owens-Philadelphia Eagles

Kade Weston-New England Patriots

NFL Careers

In just seven years, Atkins has 52 sacks including 12.5 in 2012. He’s also forced eight fumbles and made 244 tackles. Atkins has been selected to five Pro Bowls in his short career and he’s been an All-Pro selection twice.

Jones was a late selection in the draft but he has gone on to become a great safety for the Dolphins. In seven years he has 16 interceptions and 555 tackles. he’s even scored three touchdowns.
