Georgia football: Top-10 NFL Draft classes in Bulldog history
6. 2015
Five players drafted, one in the first round
The most recent draft on this list, but three of it’s members have already gone on to become starters for their respective teams. Todd Gurley of course headlines the group. But Chris Conley and Ramik Wilson have been sold for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The players drafted in this group include:
Todd Gurley-St. Louis Rams
Chris Conely-Kansas City Chiefs
Ramik Wilson-Kansas City Chiefs
Damian Swann-New Orleans Saints
Armarlo Herrera-Indianapolis Colts
NFL careers
Gurly misses the first few games of his rookie campaign while he was still getting over his torn ACL from his last year at Georgia. But when he reached 100 percent, he went on a tear and finished 2015 as the NFL Rookie of the Year. He finished that year 1,106 yards in just 13 games.
He struggled in 2016 and failed to reach 1,000 yards, but a great 2017 will justify this classes spot on this list.
Unlike Gurley, Chris Conely and Ramik Wilson had quiet rookie years for the Chiefs. However, in 2016 they had breakout years. Conley started 11 games and caught 44 passes for 550 yards. Wilson had 76 tackles with one interception and one forced fumble.
