In short, the sky has stopped falling, if it ever was in the first place. May has traditionally been a really strong month for Kirby Smart and its when we will likely see some more commitments. Trey Dean is expected to come to a decision towards the end of this month and if he chooses UGA, the chance that Georgia can start filling out its class will grow.

Even if there are less commitments then hoped, we remain a long way away from signing day and a lot of players are going to continue to take their time. There are lots of other, big name prospects that UGA are heavily in the mix for. The coaches will continue to push heavily for the likes of Jamaree Salyer, Zamir White and Micah Parsons. However, a lot of the players in the previous slide are the Georgia based players that will make up a big bulk of this class.

Next: UGA and Marijuana

If there’s one thing we learned from Smart last year, its that he’s going to be relentless in recruiting and finding the best players he can. The Chris Smith signing is a sign that we can expect to see more of those players committing as spring turns to summer.
