10. The service academies

Georgia hasn’t played service academies all that all often, but the two times that Georgia has played a service academy, the Bulldogs lost to the Navy Midshipmen. Georgia lost to Navy 27-3 in 1916 and 27-14 in 1957 in the only two meetings against the Naval Academy.

But to this date, Georgia has not played Army or Air Force.

Recent history has not been kind to the service academies, but Navy and Army won many National titles decades ago. Army won three straight national titles from 1944-to-1946 at had the record for the longest winning streak. Navy won a national title in 1926.

Air Force has never won a national title but they do have three conference championships in the Mountain West. The Falcons have actually had the most recent success with five 10-win seasons since 1991.

Regardless of how good Army, Navy or Air Force would be going into a game with Georgia, it would still be an interesting sight to see one of the service academies inside of Sanford Stadium.
