9. Kansas State Wildcats

It’s no surprise that Georgia and Kansas State have never met. Until 1989, the Wildcats were one of the worst programs in college football. They were on a 27-game winless streak (0-26-1) and had only won 137 since 1896. Kansas State also had only been to one bowl game, the 1982 Independence Bowl.

But then Bill Snyder came to Manhattan and by 1997, the Wildcats were national title contenders. Despite still having an all-time losing record, Kansas State has been one of the better programs in college football over the last 25 years. That means it’s about time for Georgia and Kansas State to meet.

There haven’t been many opportunities for the two teams. Since 1992, Georgia has only played six games against teams from the Big 8/Big 12, and only one of those was a bowl game.

Georgia normally finds themselves matched up with ACC or Big 10 teams in Bowl games and the bowl match-ups haven’t helped in the past. And there are still only two bowl games that pair SEC teams and Big 12 teams against each other.

So if the Bulldogs are going to get a shot to beat the Wildcats any time soon, it’ll probably be in a home-and-home or possibly a neutral site game.
