The next Pac 12 team on this countdown is one of the semi-finalists of last years College Football Playoffs. Georgia has actually never played a game against a team from the state of Washington and the Huskies are the best program of the two Washington teams.
Washington has two national championships with 16 conference championships. But like Stanford, the Huskies have had a checkered past. Before 2016’s 12-2 season, Washington’s last 10-win season was in 2000 when they went 11-1. In the years between, they only averaged 5.5 wins a year and even went 0-12 in 2008.
But the Huskies have had many periods of greatness. The Don James era saw Washington win 10 games seven times between 1977 and 1991.
Their history and current place as the top team in the Pac 12 make Washington the best Pac 12 team Georgia has never played, but only the second best Pac 12 team that Georgia has never beaten. But we’ll get to that one.
