Jarren Williams, the QB from Gwinnett County received an offer from Georgia this weekend. That makes it 18 offers to QB’s for the 2018 class. After going all in on the nations #1 prospect Trevor Lawrence and losing out to Clemson, UGA has been firing away offer letters across the nation.

Georgia has offered 12 dual-threat quarterbacks and Jarren Williams is just the latest. That being said, UGA is really getting in late with the former Kentucky commit. It seems unlikely that they can overcome the other schools who were recruiting him to drop Kentucky such as LSU.

Ultimately, UGA is in a rare position with its Quarterbacks. It has recruited two 5 stars in consecutive years. That’s a problem when it comes to the top 2018 QB’s. They do not want to sit for 2-3 years, they want to start soon to give them the best chance to go pro. Georgia has two very talented roadblocks ahead for these players to overcome.

That being said, I still believe there’s a chance that UGA could end up snagging a top QB in 2018. There’s a very long way to go in this recruiting cycle and the 2017 season will likely change a lot of commitments.
