Georgia football: Post spring practice best and worst case scenarios
Prediction: 11-2 overall, 7-2 SEC
Of course you can’t expect Georgia to go 12-0 in the 2017 regular season. This team will be better but not that much better. They’re going to lose a game, but I don’t think it will a game people would expect.
Georgia should take care of Notre Dame, Tennessee and Florida. You get the feeling like the Volunteers and Gators are going to take a step back. Last year was Tennessee’s best shot of winning the East and it seems like a missed opportunity.
Florida did save their recruiting class as far as rankings are concerned. But they didn’t fill any holes, they just signed guys in positions they were already okay at.
Georgia should slide past them in 2017. But a loss will either come, in my opinion, to Vanderbilt or South Carolina. Vandy, like I mentioned earlier, has an underrated defense. They also can play just good enough on offense to pull off upsets.
South Carolina also comes after Florida a bad spot for Georgia especially if they beat Florida. The high from that game could carry over and lead to a letdown at home. Plus, the Gamecocks are moving in the right direction as a program with Muschamp.

They closed out 2016 nicely and that’ll carry over. Eventually they’ll be back to where they were from 2010-to-2012. A win over Georgia could be the beginning of that.
Regardless, the 2017 Georgia football team should return to Atlanta to play their first game in Mercedes Benz Stadium. The opponent will most likely be Alabama and the Bulldogs won’t quite be on Alabama’s level yet.
