Somebody else?

There are not a great deal of other options on the table for UGA. The big one that is possible, but unlikely is Justin Fields. Fields is an elite prospect and at Penn State, he could instantly start. The same could be said for Florida, which is also said to be pushing hard to make him flip.

Georgia focused on Trevor Lawrence instead of Fields and lost. But his family are connected to UGA. His sister has committed to play softball in Athens and his parents have always liked the school. They like how close it is to home and it would certainly be good for them if he was close to his sister.

That being said, at best, he will have to sit a year and then fight Jake Fromm just for the chance to start. That’s not something he will go through at Penn State  or Florida, both of whom will hand him a job. Ultimately, the question will be, whats better for his pro career? Sit and learn for a few years or start for 3 and learn on the job?
