The Georgia Football progam found themselves in an interesting spot with a 2018 QB this past weekend. Last week, they offered 3-star QB Ben Bryant and asked him to come and camp with them in the summer. Bryant had been committed to Wisconsin for some time and reached out to the coaches there to let them know that this conversation had occurred. After this, like so may prospects, he tweeted about his new offer.

The next day, he was informed by Wisconsin that his offer no longer stood and he was encouraged to find a new ‘fit’. He issued the following statement on Twitter:

It’s probably one of the most bizarre recruiting stories I’ve read in some time. That being said, it’s a good example of just how vulnerable these kid’s so called ‘scholarships’ are to the whims of coaches. To me, this whole thing is a pretty bad look for Wisconsin, who in my mind, treated him poorly. There might be some underlying story we don’t know, but to me, it kind of feels like coaches using this as an excuse to dump a player they had moved on from. Not a particularly positive trait for me.
