The past few weeks, the football coaches were out on the road seeing as many prospects as they could. Head coach Kirby Smart has been holding down the fort at home and this weekend, there were some top level prospects in town:

McCollough is one of the top rated safeties for the 2019 class. He’s one of 6 or 7 in state players who could end up as a 5-star when it comes down to it. He’s also one of three of those players who will likely end up playing safety. Sizewise, he’s very similar to DeAngelo Gibbs and he could be a similar type of player to the 2017 signee.

A top 20 cornerback in the 2018 class. Frierson is currently committed to former UGA coach Mark Richt in Miami but he seemed to enjoy his time up in Athens this weekend. He’s has the size, speed combo that the Georgia coaches seem to be looking for but it’s still a longshot that he will flip from his commitment.

A big time target for the dawgs and one of many 2018 5-stars UGA are pushing hard for. Johnson has previously spoken very well of Georgia but there is no doubt that his recruitment is going to be a battle with about 5 other blue blood programs.

Despite being down as a safety, he wants to pay cornerback at the next level and UGA is one of the progams pushing to put him in that position. Their overall need for a top flight CB and their high level DB coaching with Smart and Tucker should help in this particular battle.
