This QB battle seems to be just getting warmed up. Jacob Eason spent his Memorial weekend in San Diego with several of the top college and high school QB’s. He was attending the Steve Clarkson QB camp to work on his development for his 2017 season.

While there were several top high school players there, there were also several further along college players. UCLA’s Josh Rosen who is expected to be a 1st round pick and Shae Patterson from Ole Miss, joined Eason as the top college QB’s attending the camp.

It’s interesting to see Eason continue to push his game during holidays. Whether this is a sign of Jake Fromm being in the building or not, its safe to say fans should take this as a very good sign. Eason is clearly not resting on his laurels from 2016. He’s going to have to make the expected freshman to sophomore jump to keep his job in 2017. Jake Fromm by all accounts is continuing to push him hard in training so the hope is that Eason takes that jump. UGA will be much better if he does.
