Kirby Smart Football Camps.

It was a big weekend in Athens, with a ton of prospects in town for Kirby Smarts football camps. Unlike the previous regime, Smart has broken this camp down into multiple days. This certainly seems to give them an opportunity to spend more time with specific players.

There was a huge amount of talent in town. It wasn’t just the 2018 class either. There was plenty of 2019 and even 2020 kids, several of whom received their official UGA offer while they were in town. Dawgnation’s Jeff Sentell and 247’s Rusty Mansell were both there and both took some great pictures That you should certainly check out!

There will be plenty more recruits coming in town over the rest of the summer but this was a great collection of talent. Although there were some big recruits for 2018, for me, this camp was all about 2019 and beyond. There were some really exciting 2019 and 2020 prospects who the staff are getting in on very early. That might be what it’s going to take to keep more of these guys in state and it’s good to see the coaches pushing hard to do this for future years.
