There have been a lot of reports out there about Eason the past few weeks. None of them have been particularly complimentary to be honest. There have been plenty of talking heads already getting prepared to write off UGA’s rising sophomore QB after 12 games.

Chip Towers at Dawgnation wrote a great piece last week about how these sorts of stories should motivate Eason. He’s a really talented guy, but he’s someone who has a lot of doubters right now. These sorts of stories are great fuel for the top competitors to rise up and show those writers just how wrong they are.

If he needs even more motivation, walterfootball.com put out their way to early 2019 mock draft this week. Sitting right at the top in the #1 overall spot is none other than Jacob Eason. It’s a reminder that if he does continue to improve and develop, his talent really is that special.
