Georgia Bulldogs: Monday Morning Recap
Brice Ramsey gives Kirby Smart an option with Jake Fromm.
Lastly, if you missed it, Brice Ramsey has decided to return to UGA for his final year of eligability. Ramsey was looking to transfer and start somewhere for his final year. Kirby Smart never stopped trying to bring him back and in the end, he decided he wanted to stick with him teammates and finish out his career with Athens.
While this is a great example of a selfless team first attitude, it’s also an opportunity for UGA. With Ramsey back on campus, there’s now a chance that Jake Fromm could potentially redshirt in 2017. This wasn’t really going to be an option with just Fromm to backup Eason, but now, its back on the table.
Next: Hey Auburn... Stay out of the SEC East!
A lot will depend on Eason and the rest of the team’s play in 2017. But it would likely be great for UGA if they are able to create a year of class separation between Eason and Fromm. This could set them up for 5-6 years of great QB play with those two players, which would be really exciting for fans.
