What do we know about Ericson?

Ericson is a pretty under the radar prospect considering his talents. He’s only just emerged in the Rivals top 250 and is yet to crack the top 300 at 247 sports. That being said, he seems to be a player that people really like when they see him. Rival’s Chad Simmons makes the point that he’s not somebody who wants the spotlight on him. Which is normally a pretty good thing for an offensive lineman.

In terms of stats, he’s a big guy. He’s currently 6-4 and just under 300lbs. Thats the kind of size the Kirby Smart and Sam Pittman love in their linemen. He’s still got room to grow and put on more muscle and he will likely end up sitting between 310 and 320 at UGA. Smart wants to win in the trenches and maul his opponents. Linemen like Ericson are key to that sort of philosophy.
