The Georgia Football team picked up a second OL commitment in 2 weeks in Offensive Tackle Owen Condon.

Sam Pittman keeps recruiting them. Say what you want about the Georgia Football team before he arrived, but Pittman never seems to stop bringing in big men. After getting a commitment from instate kid Warren Ericson last week, he’s got another one. This time it’s a big tackle from the state of Oklahoma.

Owen Condon currently comes in at 6 ft 6 and weighs around 305lbs. But he still has plenty of room to grow both in height as well as add muscle. His father is actually 6 ft 9 and he has the kind of raw traits that Sam Pittman loves. He’s still very raw and has been playing a lot of opponents in a weak Oklahoma high school system, but there is some serious potential in there.

With so much tackle talent coming into Athens in 2017, he’s just the kind of player Smart is looking for. A big project who has the talent and the work ethic to develop over time. His mother is a former bulldog herself and graduated from UGA which likely helped his comfort level with an out of state program.

It will likely be a while before we see anything from Condon, but he’s another cog in what is becoming an increasingly huge offensive line. Looks like Smart is going to keep bringing in some big body maulers every year. That’s exactly what it takes to win in a league like the SEC.
