Where did Ohio State come from?

Thats a pretty good question. When Teague announced his top 3 in May, Ohio State were not on that list. They couldn’t be on that list, they had not given him a scholarship offer. In fact, they did not offer him at all until Friday. Yes, this Friday, less than 48 hours before he made his decision in the video below.

Here’s where things get interesting. Teague told people that he made this video more than 2 weeks ago, when he still did not have a Buckeyes offer. It’s all a bit strange. After dropped a top 3 a month ago and Ohio State not being anywhere near it, it’s safe to say this was a confusing recruitment. IF you look closely, it actually looks like he’s wearing a different shirt right until the very last scene. This makes it seem even more likely that his decision changes immediately after the new offer came in.

Maybe this was always Teague’s plan. It’s very possible that the Buckeyes where his dream school and he made that video as a driver to push him to get the offer. He received it while he was at a football camp in Columbus. Still, it’s a decision that nobody in the recruiting world saw coming until Friday.
