Tenacious in a tackle but very much an unknown.

Physically, he’s smaller then the corners UGA signed in 2017. At 5-11 and 190lbs, he’s got some room to grow but his frame is more Mecole Hartman then Amir Speed. In many ways, he profiles as a good example of a slot corner with that size and he has a good attitude for that position. Don’t let his size or his lack of stars fool you, his highlights show that he plays with a bit of a nasty streak.

He can tackle and he shows good instincts particularly when the ball is up in the air. He hasn’t been out and about on the camp circuit very much but he was at UGA when he got his offer and committed. That means that Kirby and the coaches have put their eyes on him and that’s important for a player like this. In this day and age where everyone seems to go on ratings websites, it’s hard to know what coaches see that others do not.

I have to confess, I think Wildgoose might end up as the lowest rated player UGA signs this season. He’s a very long way from even being in the top 1000 players in the country, so I assume that Kirby and co. have seen something those ratings people have not. That being said, it’s probably safe to say that Kirby has forgotten more about defensive backs then most scouts will ever know so he likely knows what he is looking for.
