October

Vanderbilt

(2016 record  – 6-7) – worse.

They return stud running back Ralph Webb but lost Zach Cunningham. Cunningham was the general of their defense and the main reason Vandy upset the Dawgs in Athens.

Missouri

(2016 record-4-8) – same.

They have Drew Lock returning at qb and it’s Barry Odom’s second year as head coach. That’s about it, though. The cupboard is kind of bare for Mizzou. Look for a carbon copy of a lackluster 2016 season in ’17.

Florida

(2016 record- 9-4, SEC East champs) – same.

I’m not expecting the Gators to be national title contenders. Jim Mcelwain seems to be having trouble figuring out what offensive identity he wants them to have. Felipe Franks was supposedly the next big thing for them at QB and then all of a sudden they’re bringing in QB transfer Malik Zaire.

But they’ve won the East 2 years in a row. So we have to beat them. The winner of the Georgia vs. Florida game in Jacksonville will likely be the SEC East champ.
