Former UGA golfer Brian Harman came very close to a big win this weekend. Harman was leading the US Open going into the final day on Sunday. Unfortunately, he ended up shooting a 72 on the final day and boogied the 12th and 13th hole which essentially ended his challenge.

He still finished 2nd overall for his best result so far in a major. Harman won the Wells Fargo Open earlier this year for his second tour win of his career. The 30 year old from Savannah Georgia was a three time second team All-American while in Athens.
