Georgia Football: Armarlo Herrera future WWE Champion
Former World Champion Bill Goldberg
Goldberg, like Herrera, was a big defensive star at Georgia. Goldberg was an All-SEC player in 1988 and 1989 and was a Second Team All-American in 1989. He ended his career at Georgia with 348 tackles and 12 sacks. He twice broke the school record for most tackles in a season by an interior defensive lineman and against Florida in 1989 he had an astounding 19 tackles.

After a short career in the NFL, Goldberg stayed in Atlanta and joined the WCW Power Plant which was very similar, if smaller, to the WWE Performance Center. After graduating from the Power Plant, he quickly became one of WCW’s biggest stars.
Of course WCW being headquartered in Atlanta and playing most of their shows at the time in the South, Goldberg’s popularity was supported by him playing at Georgia. But his explosive, out of control and intense character quickly caught on. And that ring music that fans would chant “GOLDBERG” to would send chills down the spine of non-wrestling fans.
Goldberg was a big star in the WCW. His career began with a 155-match winning streak that saw him win the United States and WCW Heavyweight Championship.
Including his title reigns in the WWE, Goldberg is a three-time World Champion and one of only a few wrestlers recognized by the WWE as winning three different world titles (He is also a World Bowl Champion from the former World Football League).
