How Likely is Corral?

Believe it or not, I think the kid from the West Coast might be more likely than the hometown hero. Corral has ruled out committing back to his hometown program of USC. With them now out of the picture, the question has to be, well who was recruiting him so hard in the first place?

Georgia have been pushing Corral hard for a while and were able to talk him into coming over for their spring game. He has also developed a very close relationship with Jacob Eason. Eason made the same west coast – SEC trip in 2016 and has been a great sounding board. He’s also able to give Corral an insight into how UGA is going to guide him into professional football.

As a ‘pro style’ QB, Corral kind of fits what UGA have developed recently. That being said, he is more mobile than Eason and that’s a good thing. I think the team is looking for a more mobile player going forward at that position. Corral is also being chase by Florida and Alabama and they could certainly be his landing spot should Georgia end up with Fields. But right now, I just think that if Fields goes elsewhere, Corral is going to end up at UGA. I’d put the chance of that happening at 60%.
