Honorable Mentions

Here are a few former Bulldogs who couldn’t quite crack the top 5. In no particular order:

Matt Stinchcomb

Two-time All-American at Georgia, first round draft pick by the New Orléans Saints. Injuries kept him from having a great career. Stinchcomb has gone on to be an analyst and commentator for ESPN on both their main programming and on the SEC Network.

Dan Spivey

Spivey was a great Bulldog during Vince Dooley’s early years as head coach. Injuries forced him out of the NFL and after a decade out of the spotlight, Spivey joined the world of professional wrestling.

Spivey was a great tag team specialist but he is also one of the longest reigning Florida Heavyweight Champions. Spivey returned to the WWE in 1995 and was given a unique but well received gimmick named Waylon Mercy. However, injuries ended that gimmick and Spivey’s career.
