4. David Pollack: ESPN College Gameday, Analyst, Commentator

Definitely a Bulldog who can climb this list as years go on, Pollack has climbed the ESPN College Football ranks since joining the company.

Pollack was one of the greatest Bulldogs of all time and certainly has a case for being in the top-5 if you were to make that list. He is only Georgia’s second three-time All-American. The SEC named Pollack Player of the Year twice and he won four different post-season trophies, including the Ted Hendricks Award (twice) and Lombardi Award.

All indicators pointed to Pollack going on to have a stellar NFL career. However, a broken vertebrae after a promising rookie year kept Pollack off the field until his retirement in 2008.

Later that year, Pollack joined Atlanta’s 790 The Zone sports radio network and began studio work for CBS. Soon after he joined ESPN where he remains to this day. In 2011 he joined the College Gameday crew and started the Pollack and Palmer Show (Bulldogs come first) with former Florida quarterback Jesse Palmer.

Pollack even lent his voice to the last installment in EA Sports’s NCAA Football series for halftime updates with Rece Davis.

Pollack is still a major figure in ESPN’s coverage of College Football. He’s still on Gameday in seemingly larger roles each year. He’s a commentator, is constantly brought in to talk on College Football Live and other shows.
