Quite a lot to be honest. This is a really big win for the Georgia coaches. While White said, he’s always had them out front, that doesn’t mean every other top program didn’t try and change his mind. Ohio State thought they had him at one point, so did Clemson. Alabama were always in it and so was his home school UNC. However in the end, Georgia won out and believe it or not, this is the first time since the rankings began, that they have ever signed the nations #1 rated running back.

That’s right, despite being ‘RBU’, this is the highest rated back Georgia has ever signed. That’s really exciting. It’s also exciting that he will arrive as Georgia’s big bodies are starting to fill out the offensive line. In 2017 Sam Pittman signed some absolute monsters in his class. There’s a good chance 2018 will be similar and now they have a stud back ready to run the rock behind them. Throw in 2017 star RB D’Andre Swift and fans have a legitimate reason to be excited about Georgia’s running game. It could be special.

To be honest, this is also a player Georgia had to get. Everyone knew they led for him several years ago. Everyone knows their tradition of putting backs into the NFL. If they had missed on White, it would have hurt the program big time. Securing his commitment makes it all the more likely that the 2018 class is going to be pretty special. Speaking of which…
