3. Most interceptions in a game/season/career (8/29/68) Zeke Bratkowski

More from Dawn of the Dawg

Here’s a few record that no one wants to break and they could easily dominate the list. But in an attempt to add some variety, they’ll all be lumped together.

Do I need to explain why these records won’t be broken? What coach is going to leave a guy in after his fifth interception, let alone his eighth? And 29 pics in a year? He should be benched at least after his 20th. Forget about 68 career interceptions.

2. Most rushes in three seasons (994) – Herschel Walker

Almost 1,000 carries in three seasons is just ridiculous. We’ve pretty much established why 385 carries in a season is unlikely. Putting up similar numbers over the course of three seems impossible in the SEC.

One season maybe. But after that first season, a team is going to try to bring in some support in the form of other running backs, quick receivers who can run end-arounds, screens and slants almost exclusively, and big armed quarterbacks to spread defenses out.

1,000 carries in three seasons? Don’t count on that ever happening in Athens. Unless we play in three straight national championship games.
