1. Average gain per completion in a career (18.36) – Matt Robinson

As if averaging over 21 yards per completion wasn’t hard enough, try keeping those high percentages up over a few seasons. It’s just very unlikely with the way the passing game is now for anyone to average over 18 yards per completion in a career.

Even in the scenario where one QB would be the designated deep ball passer in a dual quarterback system. That quarterback still wouldn’t keep up over 18 yards per completion in a career. Keep in mind, that was exactly the system that Robinson was in when he shared the position with Ray Goff in the mid-1970’s.

This is one school record that Matt Robinson can feel comfortable that he’ll keep for another 31 years at least.
