What do they do not so well:
Defend. Especially in the front 7. Last year, that was Notre Dame’s biggest weakness. What make’s this a really interesting matchup is that Georgia’s strengths on defense go against Notre Dames strengths on offense. On the other side, Georgia’s Weakness at offensive line is going to go up against Notre Dames weakness of stopping the run. That makes the matchup really interesting. If either side can improve on this weakness, then the match might be decided.
Georgia has a huge opportunity here. While the players they are looking to bring in are freshmen on the offensive line, they all have potential. If any of them are able to step in and improve the line, UGA has a good chance. With Sony Michel and Nick Chubb, Georgia has a great chance to run the clock. That’s always key when you’re away in a hostile environment in a night game.
Chubb and Michel are important because I don’t know how much you want to rely on Jacob Eason in this game. It’s a huge stage and Notre Dame do have a defensive backfield. Georgia has the weapons necessary to exploit them however, but I can’t stress how hard it will be to find them. South Bend at night is going to be a crazy atmosphere. In many ways, I think this game comes down to how Eason responds to the pressure.
