How does 2017 stack up:

They return plenty of starters thanks to being so young in 2016. Quarterback Delvin Hodges returns after putting together a really impressive 2016. The then sophomore, there for more than 4000 yards and 36 touchdowns in a breakout season. He also had a completion % of more than 70%, displaying impressive accuracy. Of course a lot of this was because of a very simplistic scheme being run, but his success should not be overlooked by Georgia fans. He has a decent amount of talent. He threw for 468 yards against Miss State last year alongside 4 touchdowns. While he might have thrown 3 picks, the fact is that he proved he can play really well against better opposition. Georgia should be wary of taking him lightly.

Hodges is not the only returning underclassmen. Samford have 12 returning starters and they are hoping for a big year in 2017. Georgia clearly has a great deal more talent then they do, but they will be pushing hard for an upset. This is unlikely to be an easy game, especially if UGA have a disappointing performance in South Bend the week before.
