What do they do not so well:

As previously mentioned, that offensive line needs some work. If it doesn’t improve, Fitzgerald might find himself in more trouble than he wants very early in the season. However, that’s really not the biggest concern. The bigger concern is the Bulldog’s defense. It was pretty much atrocious last year and finished 110th in the nation. This poor ranking was mainly due to an incredibly bad passing defense which was repeatedly shredded last year.

To try and stop the bleeding, Mullen has brought in former UGA defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. Grantham wasn’t exactly a superstar coordinator at UGA and comes off a couple of so so years at Louisville. His defenses looked great when playing average teams like Boston College and NC State. However, they were badly exposed in the final 3 games of the season which included a loss to Kentucky.

While Grantham is a competent coach, I just don’t think he’s going to be the savior for what was a very poor defense. Overall, it lacks talent and it’s likely going to be a real area of weakness in 2017. UGA should have an opportunity to put up plenty of points against the Bulldogs.
