What do they do not so well:

Jim McElwain was hired to bring an explosive offense to Gainsville. So far, he is yet to deliver that. He might have won two SEC East titles in his first two years, but he has done that with the defense that his predecessor built. 2017 is a really important year for McElwain to step it up and he needs to see improved QB play for that to happen.

The question is who will be their quarterback? Redshirted Freshman Felipe Franks was a highly rated recruit in 2016 but reports out of camp were not good. That is likely why the Gators brought in Malik Zaire as a graduate transfer from Notre Dame. Zaire will bring a dual threat to the position, but he is not exactly a home run. He never really produced anything at Notre Dame and lost multiple position battles. in 3 years, he has only attempted 98 passes so he’s not exactly experienced.

Lastly, offensive line play is crucial for Florida to succeed . With a new QB, they will need time to get the ball into their weapons hands and establish a running game. Last year their play was mediocre but this needs to improve in the new year. Georgia’s D-line could be one of the nations best and if they can win the trenches, they could win this game.
