Former Georgia Football running back Keith Marshall will miss second straight NFL season with a torn right patella tendon. According to ESPN.com, Jay Gruden said that Marshall was being slept on and was definitely a player to watch this year for the Washington Redskins.
Marshall missed all of last season as well with an injury to his elbow. His injury problems have definitely been a problem and is holding him back from being a big time NFL talent. The Redskins took a shot at Marshall with the 241st pick in the 7th round of the 2016 NFL draft.
Marshall has battled injures since high school. He lit up the NFL combine, benching 225lbs 25 times and running the 40 yard dash in 4.31 seconds. He’s always had the talent to be a dominant player. Marshall was originally a 5 star recruit in 2012 and was considered to be a better prospect than Todd Gurley. He was named an Under Armour All-American as well as the North Carolina Gatorade player of the year.
Marshall initially started out great with the bulldogs. He initially showed a lot of big play ability and flashed potential whenever he played. He was another in a great line of UGA running backs. Unfortunately, he spent most of his time in Athens in the medical room and was almost always plagued by injuries.

Marshall finished his UGA career with 253 rushing attempts for 1,379 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry while at UGA. Without injury, Keith Marshall could have been a monster for the Dawgs. Hopefully he can recover and pursuit his NFL career.
