Defensive end: Robert Beal

Other members of Georgia’s front seven will be on this list as well but Robert Beal should be mentioned by himself for how big of a story he’s been the last few weeks.

In case you haven’t heard, Beal finally enrolled at Georgia yesterday. While most signees have been with the team for at least a month now, working out, interacting with each other and established players, and building chemistry, Beal has been apart from the team. But that ended Tuesday and Beal is now ready to practice with the rest of the Bulldogs.

So I’m interested to see how he looks after not being with the team throughout July. Everyone else has a head start on him. Of course as a weak side defensive end, he’ll either play there or as an outside linebacker in Georgia’s 3-4. Because of that, he has an up hill climb to even join the two-deep depth chart.

However, he’s still one of the most talented players from this past recruiting class. 247 Sports ranked him at no. 108 overall and as the no. 8 weak side defensive end. With enough hard work, his talent can get him onto the field this season.
